THE MOST PICTURESQUE WINE ESTATE/ I WAS IN PARADISE
I went to Boschendal Wine Estate and had the most memorable time. We learned how to saber champagne bottles with swords. We then went for an intense wine and food pairings. I never knew you could do a food & wine pairing with sparkling wine alone. In South Africa, the champagne is called Method Cap Classique (MCC).
After that, we went to the Werf Butchery where we had biltong, an obligatory South African snack made from spicing and drying meat. We went to their organic garden where their food comes from. They have a big restaurant overlooking the garden.
