Sort:  

maybe try out Unreal or Unity, since they should be the easiest to make the scene real-time renderable, walk troughs I've always skipped, animation in general is terrible for me, I can't leave my pc rendering for two days just to have 30 seconds of 1080p video :D although that's 600 frames, 5 minutes each for all the effects(GI, AO, high AA ...)

I use a varriety of things to render including Unreal. I use the tool needed to get the job done. Traditionally that for me is Unreal, Redshift,Corona, nd Lumion. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. A lot of what I do goes out to render farms.
