Understanding the “No” response to your offer
How to disconnect emotionally from the "No" response to your offer
So many times people get emotionally attached to the outcome of whether or not someone buys their offer.
If someone says “No” to our offer, that “No” many times affects our self esteem.
Don’t take that “No” personally. Allow it to roll off.
What you have to do is not allow yourself to get attached to the outcome.
Get into your mindset of understanding that the “No” is not about you personally.
Deciphering the “No”
The person saying “No”:
Is using “No” as a means of protection against being taken advantage of
Does not fully understand your offer
Does not want to talk at this time
Does not feel comfortable with you – they don’t know/trust you
Does not agree with what you are saying
Can’t afford your offer
Just does not want to spend the money
Needs more information about the offer
Does not understand the benefits of the offer for them
To understand the “No” ask questions to find a solution
• Find out what they really want
• Find out what is really bothering them (cost/timing/misunderstanding/trust)
• Ask , “What do we need to do to make this work for you”
• Genuinely look out for their best interests
• Don’t pressure or come off as pushy
• Work to resolve their issues/concerns (this may take more than one visit or call)
