"Bitcoin and Black America" by Isiah Jackson (book review)

in #dtube5 years ago (edited)

The promise of "cryptocurrency" and its potential for good has been highly lauded. But oftentimes, we find it difficult to talk about the practical application of this new freedom-enabling technology.

In "Bitcoin and Black America," Isiah Jackson offers an outline of practical applications that individuals can take to begin to build a more freedom enabled future. Specifically, Isiah offers a critique of the traditional banking system and provides an argument as to why he believes black Americans ought to adopt virtual currencies such as bitcoin.

In this video I offer my thoughts on Isiah's debut book. Although I do not agree with everything Isiah talks about (specifically, I do not advocate the use of any "cryptocurrency" outside of bitcoin). Nonetheless, I believe individuals ought to be able to elect to join whichever digital economy best reflects their values and beliefs. More importantly, I believe in the promise of STRONG PROPERTY RIGHTS secured in the digital age through the use of Bitcoin (and other potential digital currencies that might come along)

thank you for your time and attention, see you in the comments!
