Invest your steem right - Steem power isn't everything !

in #dtube6 years ago

So I've read this post The only thing you should be doing with your STEEM written by @therealwolf , the creator of https://steemapps.com/ and a lot of awesome things on steem blockchain. He is a witness as well and you can vote for him here : https://steemit.com/~witnesses

And after that I decided to record this video to motivate people to use their steem the right way.

I think powering up is not the only way to grow on steem. I agree that powering up is important to make your vote worth more, but you still can do a lot with your steem. You can, for example, make contests and giveaways asking people to do some tasks, like to resteem you, or to make something for you. You can invest your steem in buying something useful for your steem journey, like some good equipement and make better videos on @dtube. You can also just reward your followers and people who you like for what they do. You can even tip people. I think there are a lot more ways to use our hard earned steem rather than just wasting it in gambling or whatever ... .

You can also simply just keep it as an investment and use it only when it is worth much more. In the beginning of 2018 steem cost more than $7 and it can do the same or even more next year. A lot of apps are created and a lot of people are still joining and witnesses are doing their best to improve our best blockchain.

You can take a look at all created apps here : https://steemprojects.com/ . Learn about them, join their communities. Everything is created for users. Use those apps and get more rewards and earn more steem. We really have a lot of them, most of which are awesome.

Thanks for watching and reading. Keep dtubing. ☺

I actually have an idea about this that I think would help the whole ecosystem and its something I thought about from the beginning. I'll make a video about it in a few days and explain my thoughts.

Cool, just let me know about it please, I'm interested. The more ideas we know, the more possible that we use them. ☺

Well said my friend I agree that powering up is not the only thing you can do but in my opinion we should do it we should power up because if you cash out the steem you have now it will be worthless!! you know the steem price is down and even if you cash out a hundred steem it won't give you anything so the best thing for now is powering up but it's not the only thing you can do!!

a lot of things can be done with your seem like you said running contest or encouraging others.

For me I can't cash out now and even if I did I will invest these steem in buying new equipment for filming so that I can make a good quality videos in the future!

(I went back to read the description and i can see that you wrote what you said in the video, it's like a blogging vlog lol)

Yeah, we are free to do with our steem whatever we want and of course investing it the right way is very important. There are people even use steem to trade and when they trade good amount of bitcoin with other coins, they just buy more steem and power up or use it the right way. In https://coinmarketcap.com/ there are a lot of not stable coins to trade with. They even make 50% a day and more. Of course it's too riscky as well, but I'm just saying. Some people just trade their steem, between steem and steem dollar here as well and they earn more steem that way as well : https://steemit.com/market .

Yeah, I like to write good discription for my videos because I have a big audiance here just from steemit. I was blogging before I joined dtube for 11 months and also almost daily, so I have to take care of my old followers as well. ☺

There's a lot you can do with it. Some online stores even accept Steem as a currency now, which is cool.

Imagine doing a few videos and putting the Steem towards a t-shirt or something. Or you can donate some Steem to a project where a poor country is helping to educate children and so forth.

So it pays to have some Steem in 'liquid' form (not powered up).

Magic Dice can double your money quickly, but you can lose it all very quickly too. "The house always wins".

But also, Steem Power can be delegated to various projects too.
It can help people in different ways.

The more Steem Power the better.

Yeah, steem is very useful, we have to use it the proper way. That app double money of one person and make 10 lose them. I'm not willing to promote them, that's why I didn't even mention their name. Look what happen to @enjoyinglife , watch his video about it : Why You Shouldn't Play Magic Dice. Never trust gambling, it's just way to make people lose money. A lot of websites online try to spred that and even freebitcoin has that option, but I never play there. I just claim sometimes when I have time to do it and I already have there about 0.02 bitcoin, just from claiming and inviting referrals.

Steem is a very nice coin and we shouldn't use it to play games, especially if it's not our own money, but hard earned by our time, energy and emotions. We have a lot of ways to use it the proper way, just like you said. Even buying something with it, it's much better than gambling.

To me, I like turning the digital world into physical stuff. So a Steem t-shirt bought with earned Steem is great.
Self promotion, leading to more Steem and more shirts... (hopefully).

It's awesome.

Yeah, supporting steem ecosystem is always great.

You forgot about the option of sending your steem to the voting bots run by @therealwolf and other voting bot merchants like him.

I personally don't use upvoting bots. At least we should appriciate things people create. Upvote bots are not evil, they are just a way to promote our content. Noone has to use them if he/she doesn want. It's just like advertisement in youtube, facebook and other social media.

i share your thoughts. i feel we should do more with our steem. right now i am running a contest where i support redfishes with 100sp. i am also upgrading my steemmonster cards. in the future i plan to hold more contest.

It's a right decision, making contests and delegating to fishies is great. ☺

I still think delegation is a good thing to spend Steem on, even if it’s not technically a good investment. You can give people higher upvotes that way. They like it, and it’s a better way to get some followers and stuff. I don’t have anything delegated to this account anymore, but some others I do. I manually curate stuff and also sell some votes on Smart Steem. Steem is like money in that I support people doing whatever they want with it so long as they’re not harming anyone.

Yeah, steem is great and we can do a lot with it. Manual curation is also awesome. I always upvote people manually and never use autoupvotes.

I have different rules for different accounts. 😜

Yeah, after all we are free and we can do it the way that we see it right. ☺

All very good ideas and suggestions @clixmoney

Right now I'm trying to get to the elusive 500sp milestone. Hopefully I'll be able to do some of your things in 2019. 🙏

Great insight! I also agree that SP is not the only way but still is a great way to counteract the pricing pressure as some whales continue to powerdown and dump the asset. Once it stabilizes, the value will be in what the community does to actively engage and attract users and projects to the ecosystem.
