Backyard Snow Shoes Snowboard/Backcountry camp. 2002 ish!

Hey Y’all,
Here’s a proper treat for you from way back when,
It’s my coverage from the “Backyard Snow Shoes Camp” one of the only Backcountry focused snowboard camps to exist at the time. It took place in and around the Mountain Alm Guest house owned/run by Gigi’s uncle (Thanks a lot Gebi Gerhardt). Set deep in the Vorarlberg backcountry and organised by the Pirate Movie Productions main camera dude Flo Eckhardt. Access to the Hut during the winter was either by 4x4 †o just beyond the snow line then by skidoo shuttle for the remaining few klm, or you can ride the lift to the top of Damüls then a hike over the ridge. Once your there it’s one of the most beautiful parts of Vorarlberg and I for one couldn’t think of a better place to run a backcountry / backyard snowboard camp out of.
