It's good to be back for week 3, so far it's been a journey of learning. Without further ado I will dive into answering the questions given as homework after the class.

Customer support

Customer support simply means the several ways help is rendered to the customer especially when they are having issues with the products bought or services rendered. The aim is to create a satisfaction to the costumer.

In my case as a chicken poultry business owner, one of the ways to create customer support in order to solve their problems is to have a feedback format. This feedback format is done through phone calls after every purchase of eggs or meat made.

Through this calls costumers can tender any complains about the product they bought from me or attest to the satisfaction of product bought. Through these calls I can be able to handle any problem they have.

The next way I to create customer support is to Respond fast to their feedbacks given especially to complains. It is not enough to listen to their complains and do nothing. This is why after listening to complains, I could decide to replace the product complained about depending on the complains made or give a refund. I know doing this will create a strong trust and communication between my customers and the business.

Another way I would create customer support is to create a system to supply products to customers at their door step. This simply means supplies of product will be done to wherever the customer has chosen,be it office, home, or school. This is will help costumers reduce stress of coming over and damages.

Professional Hiring if any

Every business owner desire growth in their business and I am no different. If I desire growth in my business then I must prepare for it and be able to handle the growth that comes.

Handling the growth in my chicken poultry business entails that I have a hiring plan, because I will no longer be able to handle it alone. I have decided that I will hire for a start 7 staff of honest reputation and experience that will occupy strategic positions like a poultry farm attendant, procurement officer, costumer service personnel, Delivery personnel, a vet doctor, A security officer and A poultry manager.

The staff hired into the several office listed above will help the smooth running of the business. The poultry attendant, because he attends to the daily living of the birds, he has to be one who loves chicken, and tender to observe the chicken and know when to feed them, clean them up or keep them warm.

The delivery person would be one who keeps to time and honest in dealing knowing how to relate with costumers, so also is the customer service person, he or she would be kind and approachable at all times to listen to the needs of customers while the vet takes care of the birds, he must be one who is qualified having educational knowledge and experience about poultry.

Other staff will be people who have been tested and tried in their fields.

Expansion Plan

The first step to expanding my chicken poultry business is Relocating my poultry location. Since my business is presently in a small scale it is located in my house, expanding it means getting a farm to run my business there. This will help me work better.

My second expansion plan is Influence Fast Production of eggs and chicken. This will be done through feeding the chicken with quality and healthy food. For instance, one chicken kept for their eggs usually produce at least 4 eggs in a week but if feed well can produce 3-4 eggs daily. Imagine if I have 100 birds fed well, at the end of the week I should have 2800 eggs for sale and if I decide to hatch them that will be 2800 more chicken added.

Standout by selling my product at an affordable price This entails carry out a research to know the prices of that same product sold by other dealers. This will enable me place my own price. When price is affordable and quality costumers have no choice than flock in and buy more.

To also expand my business I can create a space on the farm where chicken can be sluttered, cleaned properly and packaged for delivery for those who don't want live chicken.

The next strategy for my business expansion is to start producing my own unique healthy feeds for my chicken since I have employed an expert in poultry management and a vet.

Aggressive or soft marketing strategies

The various ways used to make business knows to costumers and attract more customers to that business is called marketing. In my case my marketing strategy for my chicken poultry is the soft marketing strategy.

I have plans to engage my costumers through the feedback format I have created which is the phone call method. Each time product are bought, the customer personal makes a call to the customer to know what they think about the product, their complains and how we can improve to serve them better.

Also at the end of each week a general phone call is placed on all customers that patronized us within that week, this is done to appreciate them and ask if they need more supplies.

The next marketing strategy is online adverts on our products and services quality and affordability of the product. Also a physically going out to restaurants, hotels, supermarket, homes to find more market base.

We can run a promo season for our customers where price of products are slashed and incentives given to the customers to encourage more patronage. Also in this promo season, we can tell our customer that if they get two or more people to buy from us they will get a reduction in price of their product.

Lastly we will have program for customers called customers appreciation week. This is will run for one to two weeks where all our customers will be appreciated for their patronage
