RE: New Original Music: REFLEKTIONZ - خواطر | Chillout Music Through The Late Night Steemin'
I'm suprised you managed to stay restrained and grounded in the beat, because that vocal sampling is amazing. When the short blips @ 1:16 came in, I thought you'd just go all Venetian Snares and start throwing those 32 notes at us! But I like it like this, a mellow jam with a not-quite-oriental touch. What instrument did you use @ 1:09? Is that an Oud?
Thank u for the feedback and comment. We tried to keep it minimal in this one hahaha u made me laugh on the 32 notes :P Yes I used some Oud licks to give it the oriental touch. U a producer?
Appreciate the feedback mah man, Salute
We are a studio that creates video games and short films, and the comment was written by our musician Miki Brusly. He went offline, but I will send him over tomorrow to answer you. :D
Yeah! I make soundtracks for games and tabletop RPGS, but I like to drop the occasional electronic song. Though it's mostly experimental stuff, like this track: https://soundcloud.com/miki-brusly/gamma.
I was asking about the oud because my friend recently got himself a cümbüs. That's kinda like the oud (in fact it's played like one), except its body's made of metal and it has a much more resonant tone...think the oud crossed with a banjo! Really fun to play, too.
I figured that as soon as he gets himself some new strings for the thing (his birthday's in March :D), I'd give it a spin and record some samples. If they turn out alright, I was thinking of uploading them to a Mega and sharing them with the people here. I've already heard a couple of producers on Steemit using oriental stuff in their tracks, so...the more the merrier?
Anyway, looking forward to hearing more stuff from you in the future, especially beats like these. Cheers!
