UNDER AGAIN ✚ written by @tranformed // robb gorringe
I don't ever want to be forgotten
I don't ever want to cord to cut
Why don't you run your hands through my hair anymore
Only strangers come around my love
Somebody listen / Somebody care
Somebody reason / Somebody share
Because I'm under once again
And the pain's too great to bury off my shoulder
I'm under again
I'm under again
I don't want to walk the streets for money
I don't want the needle to say, come
Why can't I keep my head above the water line
I'm the only daughter of my father's wasted life
Somebody listen / Somebody care
Somebody reason / Somebody share
Because I'm under once again
And the pain's too great to bury off my shoulder
I'm under again
I'm under again
I'm under again
I'm under again
I'm under again
[SOLO]
Oh…
Somebody listen
Somebody care
Somebody reason
Somebody share
Because I'm under once again
And the pain's too great to bury off my shoulder
I'm under again

So...tell me again how it is you're not already independently wealthy??
This is as good as anything on the radio...and better than a lot of it.
You're too kind. I've always written music, and the 5 songs we produced with Martin Feveyear (who also produced band like: Queens of the Stone Age, Mudhoney, The Presidents of the United States of America, etc.) was one of my favorite projects.
We played locally and were about to go on tour, but band members (even myself) felt pulled in other directions too. Thx so much for the encouragement. I've got another 4 songs from the same recording that I'll be uploading soon (5 Song EP).
You sure you want them out there for free? 1-3 more is an album...
I'm not entirely sure, but I'm just happy to have people listen to the tracks & enjoy them.
Hmmm...I just wish decent people could make a living in the music business, but I am not at all sure that's possible, except maybe in classical, folk, etc.
The music business is a hard gig. But with digital downloads & ease of purchasing, it's easier for people to buy. I've had a number of people say that "Under Again" could be in a movie soundtrack. That would definitely be cool.
For sure. I just with it was not an EVIL gig...hard is good...because then cream like yours rises. I think a lot of what rises, currently, is crap that got there for different reasons.
I feel blessed just by your saying that. You're awesome//.
