Hey there all! Honestly this post is so overdue, and it's been sitting on my shoulder poking me in the side of the head for months now. A lot has been going on in 2019 for me; some good, some bad. I won't get into all the details here, but basically that's just to say I had to step away from Steem for a little while to make life happen. I'm so glad to have caught up with some of you in the Creative Coin Discord. What a fucking brilliant initiative. It brings me back to 2017-18 when there was such an abundance of art and music saturating Steemit.

Since my last post, I've been focusing a lot of my musical energy back towards music licensing. I dusted off my old publishing name 'Harrison East', which I've been putting to work more nowadays. As much as I do enjoy the artistry aspect of it at times, I'm so back and forth between different jobs and projects that it's much easier to make music that don't have to really dump my heart and soul into from a 'personal identity' standpoint, and just have fun making it. I'm essentially already in that mode writing music for Splinterlands anyways, so any additional (or not fantasy-appropriate) music goes into my back-catalog to be licensed. It keeps me sharp without having the stresses of actually finishing things.

This is a jam I worked on the other night, after considering the fact that I've been primarily doing orchestral (and more chill hiphop/synthwave stuff) music lately, and hadn't really messed with the dance-y stuff in quite some time. Didn't take it too seriously; made a handful of the sounds myself, and preset'd the others. But it was a nice, relaxing couple of hours.
