Mental Pictures - Walking Into The Next World

in #dsound7 years ago (edited)

This is my unique original music that I have developed over the last 3 decades and has led me on my journey which now involves revealing geopolitical war crimes and the crimes of the global elite. (Crazy, I know! ) This is my second official DSound upload and I wanted to share some of my unique sounds and musical ideas with the Steemit community. I wrote this song "Walking Into The Next World" in 2016 with the intention of simply creating a nice sounding surreal multi-layered guitar piece that made the listeners head spin a bit by pulling them gently in different directions with the sparse melodic lines. I was pretty happy with the end result, as each time I listen to it I feel like I did a little surreal meditation and got back to my normal self. Its my form of digital detox, so to speak. Synth waves and swirling guitar lines tend to do something nice to those brain waves. :)

I started creating music many moons ago when I was traveling the globe. Through my travels I've visited 44 countries...many of them while backpacking. I've been a busker in Montreal, London and around Europe, a US Marine, a local in Athens , Ga back in the 90's, a jack of all trades when it came to survival, and nowadays I'm a French to English translator and voiceover artist with a cool Russian wife and two little boys and a baby girl. I make psychedelic, sometimes political, Irish folk based weirdness with surreal themes. I cover everything-- from my hero's such as John Lennon, Joseph Campbell, Robyn Hitchcock, Karl Wallinger, Alan Watts, Diane Ackerman and many others.......to mythology, travel, romance, history, space exploration, the use of various mind altering substances, politics, art and conscious dreaming. The dreamworld plays a big part in my art. I highly recommend Robert Moss's "Conscious Dreaming" for people wanting to open up to higher consciousness. My goal with my music has never been about money (although one needs it to survive). Instead I hope to help others realize the dreamworld is available to us all.......one only has to tap into it and life can become much more colorful and enlightening. I hope you enjoy my music and gain some understanding from it. Peace.

Oh, and I almost forgot to mention, that beautiful dalmatian is my old best friend Texas Elvis who has now gone on to the Rainbow Bridge. I still feel him by my side when I write my music and put together my geopolitical posts. He was the most wonderful dog I've ever known. This song is dedicated to him.

Thank you for posting your tunes! I listened to some on Soundcloud. I really enjoyed 'The New Rage', really soothing to me. It has an 'Echo & the Bunnymen' vibe to it and reminds me of my teen years. I really like the style.

Thanks so much @libertyacademy. I'm a big Echo and The Bunnymen fan and have seen them numerous times. During my Montreal days back in the early 1990's I was playing the Killing Moon in the underground subways of Montreal all the time and used to rake in the loonies (Canadian dollars) when I banged that one out. Kind regards.

I was born in Montreal and lived in the province of Quebec for most of my life. I don't miss the cold but really miss family, friends, and Poutine!

Awesome! I used to play the tunnels at Atwater station near the old forum and also at Berri Uqam in the early 1990's. I love Montreal, its a magic city. :) And yes, the extreme cold kicked my ass too. Hence the reason I only lasted 3 years there.

Very nice! I can definitely hear the European vibe in it. It made me think of a European band I used to listen to called Brainstorm. I too love backpacking Europe. I haven't been to 44. I need to catch up! :)

Cheers @angelfish. I was born in Dagenham, East London UK but immigrated to America with my parents and brothers when I was seven years old, thus I have always felt somewhat dislocated countrywise and the surreal music I create helps me tap into that void. I had the travel bug after I got out of the US Marines at the age of 22 and ended up going back to England and Europe a number of times. Its been a great ride thus far. I'll check out Brainstorm. I love hearing newly recommended music. :) Kind regards.
