I think drug problems are always going to be an issue when you have guys that are 20-something alpha types being influenced by other alpha types. You're going to get bar brawls, copious drinking, amphetamines for partying, and possibly opiates to make the pain of basically being a long-term athlete go away. You try to get rid of that personality type and you're going to have a hard time making quotas for guys willing to freefall out of planes, dive in water, and blow shit up. That dude that doesn't do shit on the weekend except exercise is a fucking weirdo anyways. I think the biggest problem is if some of these guys are getting caught soon after they finish their initial pipeline. It used to be you completed BUD/S and went through a probationary period before you got your trident. You didn't do a lot of advance training until during that time or after it. Now they have SQT and these guys pissing hot right after it are costing Uncle Sam a shit load of money. But again I think it comes with the territory.
