Five people charged in Kirkland Lake drug bust

Officers with the Kirkland Lake provincial police detachment have charged five people in connection with a recent drug bust.

They say several search warrants were executed on Tuesday, January 15th at several places in Kirkland Lake and its surrounding area.

As a result of the investigation, involving a number of OPP units, officers seized ammunition and drugs they suspect to be: cocaine, opioids, methamphetamine, and illicit cannabis.

Four men between the ages of 22 and 45, along with one 19-year-old woman are facing a number of charges.

At this time, officials would not provide further comment about the quantities or street value of the drugs they confiscated.
