Drug Addiction are destroying our society.
Drug addiction has now become a serious problem of our society, especially in the town areas. Many young men and women are failing victims to this. It is a curse which ruins them completely. The dishonest traders carry on their business on narcotics and drugs on smuggling basis in underground realm. This curse has become widespread all over the world. There are international gangs behind it. They are active everywhere. Many crazy young men and women are tempted to take this drug. Once they taste it, they are caught in it forever. They cannot come out of this death trap. This kills them slowly but surely. But we cannot allow this to go on unchecked. We must fight against the social cancer. The first thing to do is to highlight its dangerous effect to the people and make them aware of this deadly enemy of social life. The mass media can play an effective role in this respect. Seminars and discussions and debate should be held in schools, colleges and universities. The government alone cannot solve this problem single handed. People must co-operate with it. Otherwise, there will not be any desired result. We should remember the maxim, "Prevention is better than cure".
