Flights Mania 01: Drone freak
Hello steemians!!..!.i'm back and i missed you guys a lot..Today is gonna be a brief talk about "flights"..letz do this..check this guys out below, ain't they beautiful and lovely??...
My love for "flights" such as; drones, airplanes, jets, helis', spacecrafts/ships, rockets, and other streamlined moving space objects suspended against gravity is quite unfathomable..
Yeah!!..!! I call them "Artificial space intelligence"..The psyche for this objects are deep within me and apparently, I think one can call me a "flight maniac" or one who obsessed with flights and space objects. I love everything about them. Their streamlined plane nature, lifts, thrust, size, shape, air drag force, rants(noise), incessant zitherings, etc..i mean everything!!..Infact, I would love to fly someday.
Briefly, I just want to share a little information about "Drones"..
Drones
The idea or concept of designing this "Artificial space intelligence" called "drone" emanated from the Body nature, build up and behavioral pattern of the "drone insect" i.e. a "male bee" or "wasp" which does not work, but can only fertilize the "queen bee". The name was also coined from the "drone insect" and its design was made to mimic the body of this insect.
A drone is a remotely controlled aircraft, an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV).
Drones are UAV objects because they can operate themselves autonomously or telerobotically like the "droneship" without a crew onboard or the help of man( after its design and construction).
Well to me, I call drones "miniaturized winged flight midgets" with particular features that distinguishes them from other flights and space objects. Drones could be remote-controlled or automatic..
These days, the world's technology is advancing so fast that drones could be designed now as "multirotors" or "multicopters"(having multiple or more than eight rotors/blades). The conventional drones were: "tricopters"(equipped with 3 rotors/blades), "quadricopters" or "quadrotor helicopters"(having 4 rotors/blades), "hexacopters"(having 6 rotors/blades) and "octocopters"(designed with 8 rotors/blades) as the case may be...

A multicopter
A hexacopter
An octocopter
One may wonder why it is necessary to increase the "rotors" or "fan blades" of this artificial intelligence. The reason is that these rotors helps the device mechanically for "stability" and "control" when they rotate. Also, control of vehicle motion is achieved by varying the relative speeds of each rotor to change the "thrust" and "torque" produced by each blade.
Before now, biologists and research scientist, have put drones to "work counting whales", "checking bird nests", and catching poachers(eggs). Recently, a drone has been designed to fly or hover within fast flowing "swarms of bats" as they cut across a dark sky at night without colliding with the bats..It is called a "Chirocopter"..wow!..!!.incredible isn't it??..
The name "Chirocopter" was coined from the scientific name of bats Chiroptera.
Chirocopter Design
A chirocopter
The "chirocopter" which is a "quadcopter" or a 4-rotors/bladed intelligent device is equipped with a "thermo-camera" or "thermal camera" (that can detect or see bats body heat). A microphone is also installed to record sounds that the bats use to navigate their next location( echolocation chirps). Chirocopters can record up to 46 echolocation chirps in 84 minutes at about 5 meters to 50 meters range of heights..This makes the chirocopter more advantageous than others of same category, as it can also be placed anywhere in 3D (3-dimensional) space. The best for this job.
And when I highlighted that "drones" are "miniaturized", please I never meant that all drones must be very small or tiny, they could be massive depending on its designated functions, but I meant that they could be small compared to other flights and space objects such as aeroplanes, helis, etc.. Drones could be designed as "Camera drones" for photography, "War droneships" for war, "surveillance drones", and so on.. Their versatility in nature can't just be overemphasized...

So guys, I did this article for you and I hope you'll find it interesting and fascinating after reading it. More of this will be coming up in my subsequent posts on "flights mania"...See you in "flights mania 2"..You can't afford to miss it.. Until then, please don't forget to stop by and do the below.. Cheers!!..!!..and Bye for now..
Good one...learnt from this! Kudos
Thank you sir

Go here. i take it you have read the rules. steemstem values the science of how things work, rather than just saying things work. more proof.
Thank you for the information sir.. But I described the design and working principles of a chirocopter..
