May/June is when I've always gone. I think if you got in during April you'd be a little ahead of the curve, which isn't a bad thing. I imagine there'd be less people.

There's a lot of things you have to pay attention to but to be completely honest, it's really not that hard once you get the hang of it. Drones these days will hover in one spot without you even needing to touch the controller. So if all else fails you can stop movement and recollect your thoughts on your flight pattern.
