Under the sea: Blueye Pioneer - one of the best submarine drones
Hi Steemians.
Drones are a fantastic topic. There are different kinds of Drones available. Some of them drive, other fly and the last category is made for underwater use. This submarine drones are very interesting, because they are mostely controlled by wire not via a remote control like a flying system.
Today I want to introduce the Blueye Pioneer drone from the norwegian company Blueyerobotics – in my opinion one of the best available underwater drones.
The Blueye Pioneer is an impressive piece of technology. The drone, which weighs around 8 kilograms, is able to dive 150 meters deep and stay underwater for at least two hours on one charge. The Pioneer is equipped with a high-speed camera that is able to record Full HD videos with 30 frames per second. In addition, the submarine is equipped with bright LED lighting.
Of course, the design of the Pioneer is adapted to the requirements under water. It is hydro-dynamically designed and equipped with a powerful drive system. Two engines - one on each side - provide propulsion. In addition, there are vertical control nozzles that have been positioned so that no sand from the seabed is whirled up and affects the video image. The maximum speed of the drone is 4 knots, which corresponds to 2 meters per second. Find more information about the drone and Blueyerobotics right here: www.blueyerobotics.com

The main advantage of having a wire, is the possibility to supply external power. You could develop an onshore battery that powers a drone for hours.
nice
Nice drone.
This would be a useful for a boater in cold waters for all kinds tings.
Check your anchor, find your sunglasses, discover artifacts and shipwrecks.
I'm not going to ask how much it costs.
Yeah. It is a really multifunctional system. The pre-order price of the system was roundabout 3.500 Euro.
That's not too bad a price.
It would cost more than that to get outfitted for deep cold water diving.
And there are other, more cheaper systems available, which can reach a deep of 100 m, too. The Gladius for example costs 2000 Euro
Might be getting my first drone soon.
Will keep following you...so I can choose the best one for me.
Hai frieand nice pic and good job
