Drone Stupidity. One of the dumbest things I've ever seen done with a drone.
This is not my video. This video is making the rounds on facebook but I have not seen it uploaded to youtube yet.
I fly drones, and I fly fullsize aircraft. The two simply do not mix. It blows my mind that someone would think this is a good idea.
I am however torn, but I'm not. I can appreciate unique footage, and I think it's fair to say that no one has ever captured footage of an airline like this. But was this the right way to get it? Absolutely not. Should an amateur drone operator ever attempt anything like this in such an uncontrolled way? No of course not.
It goes so far beyond "giving drones a bad name". Please if you fly racing drones or photography drones, know your local rules and don't risk anyone's life.

I fly drones, and I think it was pretty dangerous. I think it would be different if they edited the footage so you didn't see all the other flying. just the shot with the plane flying under it.
Wow that was stupid. I enjoying building and flying drones but I stay away from crowds and wouldn't imagine of doing that. That's right up there with pointing lasers at aircraft.
It's not like props, radios, and batteries ever fail! Way too risky.
