Cartoon villain contest - Gru and army of minions! [you pick, I draw]

Few days ago I've posted an idea about a contest I thought up. You can read it here:

But I'll summarize it here.

I asked you guys to comment and pick a cartoon villain. You can pick any villain and it MUST be from a cartoon. I will choose one, I will try to draw it to the best of my ability and post my fan art here within a week.

The part about the contest and the idea is this:

Person which idea I pick will be mentioned in the post featuring the fan art.
In addition that person will also get 10% of my SBD part of the reward for that post (and only that SBD part) when I collect it (7 days later - that means: if I get 1 SBD and 1 SP you will get 0.10 SBD and so on).
Additionally if there are several people picking the same villain - they will have to split the reward.
I will try not to pick those at first so please don't copy other people. Also, I will note the villains already done in the post so you don't pick something that was already done.

Note: Prize is set at 10% for now but it may grow with time (I'll see how it unfolds after few weeks).

Picking villains

I will go for unique factor, then fun, creativeness and cuteness as well. It's difficult to explain. I'll choose them as randomly as I can but they have to click with me - it must have that something. It may happen to be only one, but it can as well be two or three, or more. That all depends on how much free time I have that week.

First pick, and I'm a bit sad that it was the only comment, was made by @gweern and she picked Gru (just for extra giggles I added some minions).

I have started with blank piece of toned paper and added rough sketch with pencil (and yes, I've used several images for reference).

After that, I took a short break and did the outline with softer pencil to make the lines more visible and adding some extra detail. In addition I've fixed some minor errors and crooked lines.

It was time to add the outline with fine liner. It was scary and my hand was sort of shaking at first but it was easier later and now it's perfectly fine. Pencil lines were all erased except for the scarf. I was trying out something new and it worked.

It was time to add color and I picked minions first. They are goofy, silly and totally like me sometimes. I was rotating the paper as needed while I was coloring - doing all I can not to smudge my work.

After a lot of sharpening, careful coloring and trying to keep the color consistent - I was done. It was finished! Success!!!

I hope you like my finished version of Gru.
