Self portrait with mah fiance

Hello steemit! My fiance and I are designing save-the-dates for our wedding next year and i thought I'd try sharing a bit of my process for creating the portrait.

I started by drawing our likenesses from a photo on drawing paper and shading it with markers and ink.

After I finished the base drawing, i scanned it and touched it up in Photoshop using a combination of chalk and charcoal brushes. Then, I tweaked the colors to go along with our color scheme. Here's the result:

I'm pretty pleased with the result overall. I'm not sure I would have been nearly as happy if I didn't have my trusty wacom tablet. Ctrl-z ftw!
