Demand info, direction, a vehicle?
Have to make sure that guy doesn't notify others.
I think its better to aim the spear and if he misses, he would still have the sword
I think he needs to back out and plan since he's not with his weapon, he need to device other means to ensure he overcome his troublesome enemy.
Once he do that, he can take his sword and arrow to further defend himself...

Threaten him with weapons, don't kill him at first .
Collect all the information he can , and if he resists, kill him.
Jump out and run or jump out and try to climb to the top one
He should cut that motherf*cker into pieces with his sword. As simple as that. Afterwards, he should make entrance into the door in front of him.
Since we know now our hero is brave enough to fight barges and looking at the barge our hero should do it quick since the barge is in shock as well and it seems it doesn't hold a weapon.
I think he should throw the spear to the barge, it will be an instant move.If the spear miss him, don't worry he also have a sword. He can fight with the sword and can defeat the barge as he did in the past.Our hero is brave enough to do that.After the fight he should cheak outside the door for any path to leave.Go hero, you can do it.
First time he threaten to climb but not kill . He try to collect information with climb and then he kill him .
