The easier way up the Drakensberg Mountains - South Africa
Two happy guests On top of the Drakensberg Mountains of South Africa- The reward of the long walk up is most worth it.
There is no easy way up this part of the Drakensberg but the easiest way up is a 6 km walk to the chain ladders and then up the chain ladders.
This was my daughters first time up the chain ladder on her own (With me right behind her )
Before this, each time up she was on my back.
2 km from the top of the chain ladder you reach the edge of the top of the Amphitheater and one of the grandest views in South Africa.

I live in SA and in my younger days would spend weekends in the Berg, Many hours were spent walking and hiking, But nothing like your photographs. Well done, it must have taken a lot of effort.
This is one of my favorite placed in South Africa - I make it a goal to go up at least once a year.
This brings back memories of when my children were small. I know exactly where your pictures were taken. We have also recently spent time at Drakensberg Gardens. The mountains are always breathtaking.
Wow, this is beautiful! I absolutely love being in nature and hiking and the Drakensberg never disappoints! So impressive that your little daughter managed to get up those chain ladders when I know there would be a ton of adults that would be very afraid :D
