Watching Dragon Ball at nearly 30 years old!

So I decided to enter the world of Dragon Ball. Apart from knowing it's about a guy named Goku, I had no idea what I was getting into. It turns out the show is actually a perverted comedy. I don't mean this in a bad way, but some of the scenes will make you let out some laughs, even if you feel a little uncomfortable on the inside. Teenage girls flashing old men for a reward, LOTS of Goku's little wiener, a shape shifting pig that kidnaps young girls to be his wives, etc. And all of that is just in the first saga. This saga is know as the Emperor Pilaf Saga and it lasts 13 episodes. I watched all 13 in 2 sittings. Each episode is only 20 minutes long and they really do fly by. I am going to try and watch every episode of Dragon Ball and possibly it's sequel series' Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super. I will provide some quick notes on each Saga as I finish them. I am looking less to inform new viewers, and am more interested in having conversations with existing fans. So here it goes.

Goku
This little bastard is both delightful and creepy. I would like to chalk his genital grabbing up to ignorance, but all of the adult characters are even creepier, so I expect him to be a full fledged rapist by the time he turns 15. I also don't really understand why he doesn't know what a car or a bath is. He doesn't live that far from civilization, does he?

Bulma
About as stereotypical of a character as they come. Boy crazy teenager that wants to find all of the dragon balls so she can wish for a boyfriend. She's also incredibly confident and will stick her tits out for any male with a pulse. Why does she have such trouble finding a guy?

Oolong
Oolong the Perverse Pig is basically a child molester and everyone is just cool with it. He's also a shape shifter, which isn't as handy as you might think.

Yamcha
It was pretty badass when he carved a sword out of stone with his hands. Other than that he is a very bland character. Did he just get over being a thief?

Pilaf
Emperor Pilaf and his underlings were not very good antagonists. Hope we don't see them return anytime soon.

Overall
Fun introduction with good pacing and real potential. I'm not sure how they keep it going for hundreds of episodes, but I intend to find out.
