Have you read the Whitepaper of FB Coin - Libra?

I'm kind of surprised that there even is a Whitepaper instead of keeping everything under wraps. Guess they really want to semi-embrace being a semi-decentralized crypto. There is also a new programming language called Move. What do you think?

Here Is The Link

  • I've read it

  • I've partially read it

  • I haven't read the Whitepaper but I read the other technical papers

  • I've read both the Whitepaper and other technical papers

  • I've partially read these material

  • No I have't read them

  • I don't respect the project enough to go that in depth

  • I plan to read them in the future.

Answer the question at dpoll.xyz.

OK. I've skimmed it. And for all intents and purposes, it SOUNDS lovely. And I have two thoughts:

  1. Interesting they are jumping on the band wagon. I said over a year ago we should try and propose doing an SMT with them so they would not have to trouble themselves.

  2. My favorite quote:

We believe that people will increasingly trust decentralized forms of governance.

I find that....interesting, to say the least, as they don't seem to think it's important to have a decentralized form of governance with regards to freedom of speech and the censorship and curation of such. I find it difficult to believe they would suddenly develop a separate set of principles for their coin.

I just PAL-moted you cuz I wanna see some discussion on this topic.

No I haven't read them. But now you've got me curious and I need to. I'm not sure you can even call them semi-decentralized. Semi-pretending-to-be-decentralized maybe?
