Daily Pet Photography: Friendly dogs by the river, สุนัขใจดีที่ริมฝั่งโขง

During my evening walk, I would sometimes meet these two brown dogs accompanying their owners to the river. They are always very friendly and tame; they would just patiently wait for their owners to gather the fish and fish trap down by the river.

Sometimes they would walk along the road and follow their owners down to the river bank. These brown dogs are very funny looking, they walk as if they still have a hangover from too much beer previous night. That's why they have no time to take a bath or comb their hair. They have a carefree life style, they go down to take a dip in the river whenever they feel hot, or they would just take a nap while waiting for their owners. I am so glad to see villagers around here having dogs as pets and these dogs have been well fed with freedom to roam the river bank; they are not put into cages nor tied up in their houses. These dogs are much luckier than those dogs in Bangkok. Most of the time, these dogs living near the river would look very muddy and their hair would have red dried mud from sleeping on wet cool dirt road. Their way of life is naturally a slow life style and literally down to earth.

บางครั้งเวลาเราไปเดินเล่นที่ริมแม่นํ้า เราจะเจอสุนัขสีนํ้าตาลสองตัวนั่งคอยเจ้าของอย่างอดทน มันคอยเฝ้ารถคู่ชีพให้เจ้าของอย่างตั้งใจ สองตัวนี้เชื่องมากและใจดีด้วย มันไม่เห่าหรือแสดงความก้าวร้าวออกมาเลย บางทีมันก็พากันเดินเล่นสำรวจถนน หรือไม่ก็เดินตามเจ้านายของมันลงไปที่ริมนํ้า เราเห็นสุนัขที่นี่ชอบลงไปยืนแช่นํ้าในวันที่ร้อนจัด เจ้าสองตัวนี้ท่าทางมันตลกมาก มันชอบเดินเหมือนคนยังไม่สร่างเมาจากการดื่มเบียร์เมื่อคืนก่อน มันจึงได้ไม่ได้อาบนํ้าแต่งตัวหวีผมให้เรียบร้อย เราดีใจที่เห็นชาวบ้านแถวนี้ชอบเลี้ยงสุนัขมาก และแต่ละตัวก็อ้วนท้วนสมบูรณ์ มันใช้ชีวิตที่มีความเป็นอิสระมาก ไม่ได้ถูกขังกรงหรือผูกไว้กับบ้าน สามารถเดินเที่ยวเล่นไปสำรวจแม่นํ้าตามใจชอบ แต่สุนัขที่อยู่ใกล้แม่นํ้าจะมีขี้โคลนและดินแดงติดตามตัว เพราะมันชอบไปลงเล่นนํ้า และกลิ้งไปมาบนกองดินกองทราย และก็ชอบนอนตามถนนลูกรังที่มีนํ้าแฉะและเย็นสบาย นับว่าสุนัขที่นี่โชคดีมาก ที่ได้ใช้ชีวิตสโลว์ไลฟแบบติดดินจริงๆ
