Dota 2 has now beaten it's previous prizepool record of 20 million! This is impressive as no other gaming tournaments even come close to this level.
Now you may be thinking how does this relate to crypto currencies?
Crowdfunding is the method valve uses to raise it's prize pools to such astronomical proportions. Now if we think deeply about this it is very similar to the crypto markets! Without the support of the people and people who believe in it they would go no where. Te tournament is funded through people putting money into it and supporting the game. As more people put money and faith into it the game grows and it is good for everyone, when support is down for crypto's however it doesnt always mean low support, but esports this is the general idea, correct?

Do the teams get all the 21 Million or do they split it?
the prizepool is broken apart with the winning team getting what i would expect to be around 8-9 million then it splits the rest through the other top 8 teams at the event. The funding isn't over yet so it is difficult to tell how much the winning team will receive. But i will keep you posted when it is released for sure!
