Don't Lose Your Way

Show me your ways, O LORD, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior. (Ps. 25:4-5

                            

         There are very few of us who haven't been lost at some point in our lives, usually because we took a back road.It was Langenhoven who said, "Never take a back road, because there is a reason why the highway doesn't run along there."                                                                                                               

         Maybe we attempted an unknown road by a car or foot, and suddenly realized that we had lost our way. At that moment our greatest need is for a road map or a friendly helper to guide us back to the right road. If we refuse to accept advice in such circumstances, we run the risk of only worsening our situation.                                                                                                                                  

         It is the same in life. You set out on a project or an action that swiftly turns out to be mistaken; or you have to make a choice and it becomes apparent that you have chosen the wrong option. Or maybe you have to make a decision, but you can't, because your perspective is obscured and forces beyond your control make it difficult for you.

           

Throughout the journey of life we must lay every decision we have to make before God.Then, wait in the quiet of His presence to give you guidance, so that you can be sure that you are setting forth in faith, and know that you are not alone because Jesus the living Christ will be there to guide you on the right path.
