Dolphin Magic. Art. Collage. Photography.
I can fly over mountains:
I am soothed by the velvety night sky.
The stars: Distance between us is just a breath away. Ally.
The Dolphin Within: Awakening Human Potential.
At the time of making these pieces, I was a member of the Sydney 'Pod' of the Dolphin Society that had been founded by Olivia De Bergerac, the author of The Dolphin Within: Awakening Human Potential.
Dolphin Dreaming
Magic Happens:
We can fly over mountains.
And our song transmits the love of the stars. ~Ally.
Like the collages I shared previously Waiting and Travelling Lady, these two collages, Dolphin Dreaming and Dolphin Helix were created before I studied photography.
Black and white photocopies of images from books and magazines were coloured with coloured pencil, hand-cut and intuitively arranged.
These works illustrate the first additions of elements, like shells and sand into my image making.
Dolphin Helix
I am soothed by the velvety night sky.
The stars: Distance between us is just a breath away.
A Double Helix Crop Circle. Reminder of the interconnectedness of all life. ~Ally.
Playing with the Deep Dream Generator
It's been some time since I've played with the Deep Dream Generator and I was curious to see how it would respond to Dolphin Dreaming. I used my entire daily limit of 2 high and 15 medium resolution images and wasn't all that taken by any of them. This was one of the results: Interesting. Although somehow I prefer the original.
The value that the DDG holds for me is that it occasionally gives me an idea for an image that could then be interpreted in a totally different way through drawing/painting or collage/montage.
But there goes another day and I've still got a studio that needs decluttering and wands to be made.
Re-ordering of my Studio
So far, I've only scratched the surface it seems of re-ordering, de-cluttering and re-arranging my studio. The more I wade through all my containers the more sorting is required. I have boxes, art materials, papers and all sorts of paraphernalia laid out everywhere. I know it's going to take at least another week to complete.
On a positive note. Every single time over the past 10 years that I've attempted to establish the order I know is needed, something has come in to bring it all to a holt: However, this time I have a different inner strength and it WILL be completed. The incentive to create the conditions that are needed to produce the work that is just there: Waiting to be born: Is very powerful and yet at the same time, the process is slow and tedious.
Just One Accomplishment
I've made a few small pure beeswax candles. I picked up some great tips by watching several videos but as always I seem to learn more by the actual doing. Next time I make some, I'll photograph the stages so that I can share my version of pure beeswax candle-making.
A creative who is learning to trust the mystery of what will be.
A spirit that is willing to fly into new creative realms and share the journey. ~Ally.

You make magic happen! I'm convinced!
Lovely. I used to live by the sea and every day there were dolphins around
These are really wonderful arrangements, Ally :) There is a kind of natural flow that I'm getting from these dolphin pieces, like the tensions and currents of the sea, a ... natural curve, almost a feeling of a circle, of energies that goes around, that comes around, that encircles, and that rejuvenates...
The way you compose these pieces are very wonderful, full with care and consideration, and communicate a kind of connection with nature. Really lovely.
And good luck with the organization and de-cluttering project of your studio! I have yet to manage doing such a feat to my workspaces hahahah~ And beeswax candles! Wow, I will look forward to seeing you post about that, for sure :D
Especially pleased that you like these collages Spider. After working with these collages I realized that I needed to learn photography so that I could create collages using my own images. Trouble is you don't see dolphins like these all the time.
Decluttering the studio has been SO mammoth. Much more than I thought. But will be worth it. I find the state of where I work is so important, as it affects my state of being and consequently the quality of the work produced. But hopefully, it won't be too much longer before I can begin working again.
Hope you are really enjoying your holiday. You truly deserve it. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

I love the different dolphin collages :) They remind me of this game I used to play on sega genesis named Echo the Dolphin. It's an action-adventure game where you went on these journeys and completed tasks as a dolphin. I loved playing that game a lot and it was very challenging as well.
