Reflections Of Many Past Travels
Always a good winter down here. These are the Rain Drop collection Digital. These pictures should go as far back as five years or more and are the hand picked very best. The pictures are not going to be placed in any kind of order as they are being chosen through random selection while the drives are being cleaned and organized. I hope you enjoy the look back with me and I think you all will like the colorful addition to each image.
Many steps over many miles... From mountain to sea, in all four directions I left my hound dog paw prints. I made a lot of friends along the way and I hope they are all well.
Makanda IL. was full of wonderful and fun people me and Cloud Culpepper stayed there for a bit and participated in the vulture fesivale and took a break from the river to river trail hike.
The long cold hike during early to mid winter of 2019 was a remarkable journey...indeed it was tough a few times even more that I think me and Cloud must have been the only ones out there hiking for several long miles and portions of the trail. There also was a few times here and there that we spent pinned down in the tent from being snowed in and trying to keep warm.
Here we had been hiking the second half of the Appalachian Trail going north bound and we stoped in Great Barrington for a rest and resupply. There are lots of amazing shops and sights here that captivated us both.
This is me wrapping up by the fire on a chilly winter night in the pan handle of Florida along the Florida Trail. Me and Cloud was not hiking the trail this time (we had hiked the Fl. Trail a few years previously) we were passing through on our way to what became our actual retirement but we had no way of knowing at the time. This is at a hostile that is run by a church directly on the trail.... it runs right across the yard in front of the church parking lot. It is donation based and most likly stocked with food and drinks etc. The pasor and members of the church look after the cleaning and it is a blessing to rest here.
There is always a lot of fun on the beach....There is also a lot of fun going somewhere completly new every day.
We stayed here on Turkey Mountain in El Paso AR. when we first moved here to Arkansas. This was right before Cloud had a hip replacement surgery done and I learned what retirement was.... we lived on a small ranch here with several horses and a lot of other dogs. Our friends here took us in as we waited for the surgery and got settled in a new home of our own.
Im relaxed at home in this picture from a couple days ago. I hope you enjoyed this little look back and creation of my digital art pictures... Thank You.
