Mourning Dogs

Leao's owner was killed in a devastating landslide near Rio De Janeiro in 2011. She sat next to her grave for two whole days. The sadness in Leao's eyes shows how deep can a relationship be between human and animal.

This is Zozo. His owner brought him home when he was only one week old. After Zozo got one years in age, his owner passed away. Now whenever his owner's son visits his fathers grave to say prayers, Zozo follows him to the grave and hugs the grave for quite some time. Often Zozo is missing from home only to be found at the grave. People forget people after some time but Zozo seems to be missing his owner more and everyday.
