Chickens in our time are not doing well. They are exploited at extreme levels in intensive farms where they have no room to move. their only purpose is to produce eggs and then be slaughtered to feed us. Of course the dodos would have made larger eggs and would have yielded much more meat because they were 1 meter (3 ft 3 in) tall and weighed 10.6–17.5 kg (23–39 lb) but would have been sentenced to a life of suffering just like their cousins ​​chickens.
