Ruby Ridge Documentary (2017) US Federal Government Agents Killed a Woman and her Young Boy

This documentary is about a pretty tragic part of American history. On August 21, 1992 6 heavily armed US Marshals went up to an isolated difficult to reach mountaintop which was the home of Randy and Vicki Weaver and their 3 children on Ruby Ridge. Ruby Ridge is located in Northern Idaho and is a town with a lot of Libertarians as well as many anti-government people who want to just be left alone to live off the land and enjoy life.

Randy had been charged with selling two illegal sawed off shotguns to an undercover agent. Weaver had refused to go to court and the Marshals were asked with bringing him in. For months the Weaver family holed up on their mountaintop with some firearms. When the agents watching the property crossed paths with members of the family a firefight broke out.

The standoff left Randy injured adn his wife and young son dead. Many people became convinced the Federal government was out of control. Ruby Ridge is in many ways the event that gave rise to the American Milita.
