DnW Poetry Contest #1: The Beginning

Hello Steemians!!

Today is January One
And with a smile from ear to ear
I want to greet everyone
A Happy New Year!

I hope you already leave behind
All the worries and hatred in seventeen
Because it’s already two thousand eighteen
And may joy, peace, love and bounty reign

It’s the year of the dog
That marks the rooster’s epilogue
It’s time to face the new set of struggles
And confidently jump high the life’s hurdles.

As we embrace this year joyfully
My friend and I decided to make an announcement officially
A poetry contest will be held accordingly
But let me introduce first the two host who are very lovely!

THE HOST

A nurse by profession
A loving mother as her main occupation
She claims to be a tactless writer
But check her profile and you’ll disagree with her
Her name is Johannah
The host who’s a hot momma

For the other host,
Figures are displayed utmost
She’s talking about herself right now
Which is quite awkward to formulate words somehow
She’s a dancer and claims to be a writer and artist
The name is Caryl Keen, the first host in this contest

THE BEGINNING

These two lovely ladies
Owe a lot to the steemit community
Talents are slowly develop and sharpen
Hidden skills are slowly awaken

From earning to learning
This contest marks the new beginning
Hope that you’ll walk with us
To this contest that may last!

So let’s begin with the mechanics

And please do follow what are stated.

THE RULES

1. Your poem must be original.
2. And you shall upvote and resteem this post to gain more support and exposure.
3. #dnwpoetrycontest must be used as the main tag and #poetry as the second tag
4. The title must start with "DnW Poetry Contest #1: + Your own title."
5. And then comment your entry link below.
6. Any types of rhyme are acceptable.
7. Every participant must draw an image that is relevant to the given theme. ( No pressure on this part. We just want you to use your own header image.)
8. Your poem must contain four quatrains. Each quatrain contains four lines.
9. Deadline runs until payout.

Second Place - 3 sbd
Third Place - 2 sbd
Consolation - (2) 0.50 sbd

Prizes may increase depending on the support we receive from the steemit community
