Yes! Gracias to everyone who have joined and has given their warm support to us ( I and @kneelyrac), in our second-week 'poetry contest'.

As you can see, I am the one who is announcing the winners of the DnW Poetry Contest #2, for the reason that I will be the one who will be giving this week's poetry theme until the fourth week of January. So you better hit that 'follow' button on the right upper corner of my page, LOL!

From @kneelyrac 's first week announcement of winners, we decided to make some adjustment from our criteria. And for this week's tabulation, we have come up with a much accurate result. Still and all, it was hard choosing the best from you guys because all of you were excellent! And together with the new criteria we have just posted, I am reminding every one of the other 'RULES' we have mentioned;

THE LOVER'S CRY

The rain falls and I stand under
Watching them as they dine together
My darling wife and my younger brother
My matrimony they put asunder

I stand there, filled with gloom
As my marriage meets its doom
I'm devastated and torn apart
Nothing can mend my broken heart

My tears roll, I feel the pain
I pull out my gun and take my aim
I pull the trigger, my brother dies
I bring an end to all the lies

The blood spilled is washed away
But the rain can't take the pain away
I'm under the rain, you ask why?
So none of you can see me cry

Pain On A Pouring Rain

Gone are the days when we’re side by side
Missing the moments that to you I confide
I try not to glance, I try not to glare
As if Im walking in a tunnel of despair

Arrays of dark and black fill the silent room
No words can ever explicate this gloom
Laying in bed at night alone
Wondering why I'm feeling like a stone

Clouded with thoughts like waiting in the sky
And pondering everything is a trivial lie
People keep on asking me why
All i know is, without you I could just die.

This sentiment is too much to take
My heart is fragile and now it begins to break
Turning a blind eye to the cause of pain
And letting it out together with the pouring rain.

Heaven's Teardrops

Have you ever wonder what the rain symbolized?
Still searching for an answer, yes I will try
I’m thinking of some thoughts as I look up in the sky
Would it be the teardrops when the heaven cries?

Did you see our nature? Destructed and tortured
Look at the ocean, filled with trash and now blurred
Try to breathe the air, is it still safe to bear?
Deforestation in everywhere, would you even care?

Did you ever imagine a country without soldiers?
Hoping that guns and bullets will be gone forever
No more of poverty, corruption and hierarchy
Sufficient food for everybody and a nation of equality.

Let us all be reminded whenever the rain falls
Maybe it’s a warning, a message and call
The heaven is hurting, the heaven is grieving
I do hope that the next rain, will stand for celebrating.

I’m Just A Rain

as it drifts to your cheeks and feel the pain
hidden words were locked in mind
as I cry alone, I know I'm blind

Strongest rain will be my company
come! talk to me, give me your sympathy
Silent rain don't want us to hear
like the thoughts in my head I want to clear

Walk with me under the rain
hold me tight and fill my brain
the sound of drops became my friend
too near, I can see the end

Fallen memories I want to chase
just left a note just in case
no time to say goodbye nor to kiss my wife
I'm just a rain, keep falling in life

Unforgotten

T'was in December rain's pounding hard
I was soaked in the rain waiting for a cab
You came, and with your smile so bright
You asked, "Would you like to ride?"

I looked at you thinking how to decide
Wondering why our worlds have to collide
I have to admit I was taken aback
Tears flowing, memories flashing back

You were my first and greatest love
My best ally and confidante
With you every day was a sweet delight...
Things faltered with your change of heart

How time flies, it's been three years now
The pain still lingers, you don't have a clue
Coz like the roaring of a thunder,
My heart is still beating strong for you!

Your title must start with "DnW Poetry Contest #3: + Your own title."

Any types of rhyme are acceptable.
Every participant must draw an image that is relevant to the given theme. ( No pressure on this part. We just want you to use your own header image.)
Your poem must contain four quatrains. Each quatrain contains four lines.
Deadline runs until Monday 18:00 PST (6:00 PM, Philippine Standard Time)
