I was a 2nd Edition player:) A lot of hours a lot of different worlds back then,it was almost our lives! I like the artwork and the work you are doing in general but i would suggest that if you want to be more succesful at Steemit you should see it as a main platform and not as a Patreon derivative. I do not think you will find more patrons here and by misusing steemit you are wasting your artwork when there are people who are looking for nice original content to reward.
It is just a friendly advice because Steemit is looks a little complicated when it is actually kind of simple in idea:)
I like Steemit a lot but don't see it as a viable main platform for my work. Perhaps I need to do some more research. Why do you consider my current usage as "misuse"?
I post my work to easily half a dozen different social media platforms for advertising, but I sell it via Patreon and DriveThruRPG. I license my artwork as stock images to publishers on Patreon and DriveThruRPG. I also publish my own RPG material there as well. I don't think Steemit in its present form can compare to the functionality and reach I have from the total of the others. It would be great if it did though.
I played a bit of 2e back in the day. Planesacape is a very cool setting. I was happy to find that Beamdog did an Android port of Torment. Have you seen it? Baldur's Gate 2 is on sale for $5 as well but I'm already over my monthly budget on gaming stuff. LoL.
I was more of a tabletop player, Forgoter Realms, Dragonlance and a lot of Ravenloft. Baldur's Gate was my favourite pc game:) I will check it out, it will be refreshing to revisit it in my 40s:)
Misuse was kind of a strong word.. i wanted to say that maybe you can use the platform more effectively and i agree that Patreon is way much better organised than Steemit.
It is just things work a little different at Steemit. People are looking for good content like yours and by just posting that way you are not rewarded properly for your hard work.
If i may suggest, you should start posting your amazing creations through the @ntopaz platform. https://www.ntopaz.com/. It is a supportive art community and your content will be valued there:) Also try to use tags like @artzone@c-squared@ocd-resteem to help curators find you:)
