Unless you are a genius, it's hard to succeed in school without working, which is the way it should be! A good school should be sufficiently challenging that most kids need to work in order to succeed - school is not just about getting good grades, but getting ready for real life - which, for most people involve hard work until old age! That being said, do try to study effectively by really listening and taking good notes in class - good habits in the classroom should cut down on time spent at home studying.
