It seems to me that the emphasis on upvoting and commenting for SBD means that people rarely click through to engage with a particular commenter's blog. The focus is staying on your own blog and making money there. Minnows have an especially hard time of attracting readers. But that is well-known.

Another practice that bugs me is how whales and dolphins often upvote their own comments for extra revenue. It seems that their upvotes should reward commenters, not their own replies .. oh well ...
