Appears to be 2 types of verification
"A post or tweet to an established facebook, twitter, or other social media account"
"A reference to their steemit account on their website or blog"
The second one would just be a great idea anyway !! Plenty of room next to those other social media icons.

Thanks for the tips. We did the verification process a few days ago, but we're still getting cheetah visits. As long as it's just commenting, not a big deal.
