Gulf Fritillary Caterpillar Hungrily Munching Passionvine Leaves
Gulf Fritillary Caterpillar Hungrily Munching Passionvine Leaves, a look at the chrysalis box and a view of the rest of the butterfly house.
This is my 2nd attempt on making, editing and posting a video using DLive.
Wow, now I know why it takes experts to make movies!
I actually took some gulf fritillary caterpillars from my yard and transferred them into the Butterfly House today because my passionvine leaves in my garden(backyard) were almost gone and there were more than 10 caterpillars still in various stages of growth.
My video is at DLive

The music is great, so is the video, @violetmed. The bad news is that some parts of the letters are too big and the images are lost. Everything is so beautiful! What I don't know is whether to post my comment here or there! I hold you tight!
Yes, I may have less words on my next video!
Great video. Live action from the butterfly house ;) Taking the caterpillars from your backyard after they finished off your passionvine to the butterfly house reminded me of Fish Out of Water. The kids book where the goldfish kept eating and growing and ended up so big he was in the local swimming pool.
Haha, I'll have to look that book up! I'm surprised I didn't read that book to my kids, but maybe it was written after they were past that level of book. Well, I just now looked it up and see that this book has been around since 1961, so I guess this is just one we missed owning or reading!
Nice capture @violetm quality of capture from you. Thx for share.
You are welcome! It’s really hard to take video on a phone camera! I prefer to take videos with my Canon camera. Also editing videos is much harder than editing photographs!
Yes you are very correct, it took time to edit before posting videos, I do take video on landscape form with my Samsung and it came out cool but when it comes to editing you be like oh what a time taking, like you said camera is way easy especially if you use tripod stand it will help... but I try to use my hands tho to get things done!
The caterpillars seem so strangely special to me! I believe that like everything in life: transformations must be for the better! This is a beautiful video. I recommend it! I embrace you
Yes, change can improve life! It sets the butterfly free to fly for the last stage of its life!

That video is great, @viletmed!1 I showed it to my kids. They were impressed. Sometimes they can't believe that something as beautiful as a butterfly comes out of a caterpillar! I told them: yes, not everything that is beautiful is born beautiful. Good night, beautiful lady!
Thank you, I'm glad you showed your kids!
