2-1-2 Arpeggio Shapes - using a legato approach to connect single line melodies.

This is a short lesson on approaching arpeggios on the guitar with a more ''liquid'' sound using legato techniques.

This particular concept keeps the exact mechanics on the right hand on each one of the shapes so it is easier for the hands to ''remember'' and recall when playing Live.

The video got cut off at the very end but what I am encouraging you to do is to change and adapt these concepts to your own playing , change shapes , change notes, see where it takes you or if you like it at all. As long as the right hand mechanics are kept the same everything else can be changed and adapted.

Here is the diagram for the shapes demonstrated in the video. All based on the C major scale degrees.

Any questions are more than welcome!

Thanks for listening :D

Excelente trabajo, a pesar de que yo no soy bueno con el English, entendí a la perfección cada palabra.
Eres muy talentoso.
Congratulations, greetings from Venezuela.

Gracias amigo Kantos ! deberia también hacer este contenido en español .. esta en mi lista de pendientes :P ! Un gran abrazo!

That was flippin’ awesome, Pechi! 😍

I love how easy you make that look, and appreciate your sincere effort to explain a thing that comes very naturally to you. That isn’t very easy to do.

I can’t try this out just yet, but I’m bookmarking this and will surely watch it at least a dozen more times as I dream of being able to play with a fraction of the finesse and grace that you do. 💜

Hahahaha zippy zipssss... first of all , I love you.. now with that out of the way.. I try to teach everything with the mindset that everything can be taken apart and put together step by step.. the ''big map'' is a connection of very small movements that are worked one by one :) .

Btw.. you now have an electric guitar... no excuse :)

thank you for the love zippy zips.

Sending hugs back!

Always, my dear! You’re so damn special — I just adore you to bits. 😘

And what really blows my mind is that he doesn't have to watch his hand when he's doing this intricate fretting...

hahahah Amber .. that's because those shapes are just hand patterns .. muscle memory is better than visual memory for that :P .. but I am looking when I improvise because i'm trying to figure out things in the moment.. so , it's a different thing :) .. Thank you for the comment though :P

Riiight?! Such is the way with virtuosos — the don’t even realize how difficult such things are for novices like us. ⭐️

This guy is just way too frikkin good! :-)
This is quite beyond my capacity right now, but it's really cool to see you doing it.

hahahaha amber .. I'll send you some easier shapes ;) give em a try , i think you will end up using them :D . Thank you for stopping by!
