Discovery of Villers Sur Mer/ Normandy in France

We are back for a new article wich talks about a city that we visited recently. We went to Villers Sur Mer on the 27 juin 2018. It's a city wich is located in the north west of France, on the Norman Coast. There are less than 3000 people who live in this city. There are a long beach of sweet sand, many cute and business streets with little shops, many bars and restaurants. This city is famous for her church : St Martin de Villers sur Mer church. And also for his trees wich take the shape of dinosaur in a garden in front of tourism office or in front of the sea. Seasides villas are so impressive !

As far as our day is concerned, we arrived early in the morning, first, we follow hiking trail where we saw a little stream and it was very pleasant. After, we discorvered the long beach and the sea. There is a long path all along the beach. Also, we visited San Carlos Park wich is a municipal park, All along this day, we filmed some scene to make this musical vlog and we hope that it can make you discover this city and make you tempt to visit this wonderful place !

What can we do in Villers Sur Mer ?

There are many things to do in this city ! You can simply enjoy the norman sun on the beach, or you can swim in the sea. Also, it can be good to walk on hiking trail and discover more details about this place. You can also visit the business street wich are nearby the beach and the city center. You can take a cocktail in a bar, or eat a pizza in a restaurant ! You can admire norman seaside villas's architecture. There are for all the taste ! There is also a municipal park wich is located near the city center, it's pleasant when you are too hot because there are many trees and vegetation is totally natural.

If you want to learn some things, you can go to the Paleoscope l'odysée museum, wich is a scientific museum wich allows to immerge yourself in the hearth of Jurassique. The ticket price is about 10 euros for each person. And this museum is located nearby the city center so don't hesitate to visit it.
For people who like money game, there is also a Casino wich is located in the path along the beach. There are numerous luxury hotel wich allow to pass a good week end or good holidays in Villers Sur Mer !

Where can we eat ?

We do a little selection of place where it's pleasant to eat, there are for all the taste !

The Hurricane Bar, wich is located nearby the beach and wich have a beautiful and colored terrace. This bar serves some cocktails and tapas. The atmosphere is mostly familial and you can play society game that the bar manager make available. We advise you this bar ! It is located on 20 rue Maréchal Foch 14640 Villers Sur Mer.

The Comme à la maison, wich is located also nearby the beach. It serves salted and sugared crepes. It's perfect for little budget because the price for an adult menu is approximatly 14 euros. It's located on 24 rue Michel D'ornano 14640 Villers Sur Mer.

The Pizza Nocchio, wich is located on a street near the beach. It serves numerous types of pizzas (wich are so delicious!), pastas, salad. Price is reasonable. It's located on 3 rue du Général de Gaulle 14640 Villers sur Mer.

The Digue de Villers, wich is located in the front of the sea, served gourmet meals with sea products and local products. This restaurant is composed of one big room and of a terrace. It's perfect for little more budget (most expensive menu is about 37 euros). This restaurant is located on Avenue de la République 14640 Villers sur Mer.

Advantages of this city

We liked a lot discover this city and we do a list of all the advantages of Villers Sur Mer. We went to this place by car and this is true that this city is easy access by road or by train. Also, we like the fact that there are many public parking wich are free outside the high season (july and august).

We are a young couple you like the quiet and family atmospheres and it's exactly what we found in this place and in the beach. Moreover, a positif point is the public showers and public toilets wich are FREE during all the year : it's a miracle because it's not the case everywhere !

Disadvantages of Villers Sur Mer

The first disadvantages of this city is the fact that public parking require payment during the high season (often the moment when we want to go to the sea! From the 1st july to the 31 august). However, the price is reasonable because is approximatly 20 centimes for a half an hour.
Then, like all the norman beach in France, there is some wind seaside and this can be a problem when the sun is not here because it can be cold. Also, it's important to informe yourself about the schedules of tides on the official website of the city.
