Feeding Time with the Nipping Barbs

A stressful setup of my tank as I've put too much gravel which gives me the struggle of pulling out stones from one of my goldfish's mouth as it stuck and he just floated after struggling to breathe. And I only put a small amount of water to prevent my barbs from jumping out of the tank as I can't use anything to cover my tank because if my lighting installation and the water that can be accumulated as the bubbles from the air pump blows out.
