Today was fun, busy and tears filled.
We went on an excursion to QIC LEPROSY HOSPITAL Etinan and the sight was really something I haven't seen before.
Before we got there, we were all scared that we were going to contract the leprosy *lol. I told @augustinebella and she said I shouldn't come to her house so I don't get to infect her... We got to the hospital and we met with Dr. Afia the medical superintendent who showed us around. We got to different sections of the hospital.
During the lecture,

we got to know that leprosy is one of the oldest disease known to man
*the incubation period is average of 5 years
*MDT (multiple drug therapy) is the treatment for leprosy.
leprosy is also called Hansen disease
it is caused by mycobacterium leprae
leprosy cannot be contracted through kissing, hugging, talking or sharing utensils.
Finally, Leprosy patients are called PAL i.e PEOPLE AFFECTED WITH LEPROSY.
When I got home,my friends were running away because they were scared I had contracted it.
