In a globalised world some form of world currency is inevitable. However it may not take the form we are accustomed to. This is because in an age of atomic swaps many different currencies be they crypto or fiat will coexist and transfers between them will be seamless and cheap. In the future we may measure our wealth in BTC but that does not mean that we will necessarily transact in it.
