What is a blockchain? – Gary Explains
DLive launched six months ago and already has over 500,000 monthly active users. Its members have also paid a combined amount of $2.6 million in cryptocurrency to DLive’s streaming creators. The Steem cryptocurrency is given to creators when viewers send them gifts or upvote their content. Unlike rival live streaming services like Twitch, DLive does not charge any fees, nor take any percentage cuts of the cryptocurrency sent to creators. Viewers can also earn tokens by upvoting videos, making comments and referring friends to check out DLive.
The new Android app is still in its beta stage, and it is only available as an APK file on the DLive website. Hopefully the app will be released on the Google Play Store in the future.
