Willie Brown, Hall of Famer and Raiders legend, dies at 78
Willie Brown, the Hall of Fame defensive back for the Denver Broncos and Oakland Raiders, died. He was 78 years old.
He spent his first four seasons with the Broncos before being traded to the rival Raiders. They were heated enemies in the AFL days, something that continued when the merger took place.
Brown retired after 12 seasons in the NFL, marking it with hall of fame play in the defensive backfield.
He was a multi-Super Bowl winner and part of some of the greatest Raider teams in history.
