Rescue Islam From Extremists — Akufo-Addo Tells Muslim Leaders
President Akufo-Addo verbally expressed he was cognizant that the ideologies that extremist Muslims preached were not predicated on Islamic edifications and verbally expressed it was incumbent on all adherents of the halcyon religion to rescue it from the extremists whose activities around the world seemed to be defining Islam.
“While we may meet in places like this and verbally express that what they profess is erroneous Islam, the authenticity is that we have sanctioned the extremists to hijack the religion of placidity; we have sanctioned them to pervert its values; we have sanctioned them to define it,” the President verbalized at the inauguration of the National and More preponderant Accra Regional executives of the Tijaniya Muslim Council of Ghana and the launch of a school project by the council in Accra yesterday.
