The United States has been mired in Afghanistan for more than a decade. It is being reported that the Trump Administration is getting closer to striking a peace deal with the Taliban. Many fear this will lead to a sudden removal of American troops from the embattled country. The writers opine that the U.S. cannot abandon this country again.
