Smart move by Alaphilippe. It was kind of already clear at the World Championship race in Yorkshire his form was over. And that is just more than normal. The Tour de France he has cycled combined with his incredible pre-season is the best anyone has done this year.

Alaphilippe was everywhere anytime and got to huge results. You can't keep on doing that 9 months in a row.
