Belgian cyclist Bjorg Lambrecht dies aged 22 after crash | The Independent

Belgian cyclist Bjorg Lambrecht has died at the age of 22 following a crash during the third stage of the Tour de Pologne. The Lotto-Soudal rider crashed around 60 miles from the end of Monday’s stage from Chorzow to Zabrze in Poland. He was taken by helicopter to hospital where he later died from his injuries.

I just read the news earlier today I was shocked to learn that this he died at a very young age. This is a very saddening story as he's just starting to get the peak of his career. Though he was taken to the hospital, injuries are so bad that there's nothing to do to save him.

I hope this kind of stories won't discourage our young people to engage sports but rather follow our dreams to be on top now matter how hard it can be. Life has full of uncertainties. Most of the time we're not ready for it but as one of my mentor said, "You'll never know when you'll be ready. Whenever the opportunity comes, grab it!".
